Story for mothers day

Image
My mother, I live in her dream. Being the only daughter of four who has never attended formal education makes her personality totally different from her siblings. Yes, she didn’t attend school like the rest of her sisters but with her own will, she can read & write. Most of all, she has successfully raised her 4 children! Not a single trait from my mother genetically in me.. (This includes both physiological and physical he he..) I remember how my mother would look up to the “rich” relative and will isolate herself from them in any gathering. Her common statement would be something like “Oh tak boleh, dia org itu orang kaya, Nana tak boleh jadi macam tu..” so I grew up with a resolution that I would prove her wrong. I live and become who I am today because of her prayers. I’d remember she dreamt of her children wearing office attire (“kerja opis” )and driving cars as she didn’t put such a high expectation on her children..(oh mak!). When I grew up, her definition of “rich-people-s...

A house yet to be a home

Image
There have been pouring question from family & friends on the new place... A common one would be "..best tak duduk situ?.." Well my honest reply "Best, TAPI...in comparison to the Ampang house, ..it doesnt have an auto-gate ..the 4 toilets way too small, toilet seat & the sinks look cheap :( ..it does not equipped with solar heater, centralised water heater & copper plumbing thruout the house ..the family hall at top floor can only fit the 2 1/2 seater (ampang top hall can fit 1+2+3 bulky sofa!) ..there is less than "sekangkang kera" land to plant my favourite pearl grass ..definetly no room for my koi fish pond ..the ampang master bedroom is bigger ..it doesnt have a storeroom to house the eye-sore stuff! ..it doesnt have a room on the same level with the living hall, causing inconvenience for the elderly to perform solat ..there's too many unecessary pillars ..the road & the porch land is slanting, too 'senget' & no room organi...

What is there in a NAME?

I loved to be called Huslina, and will use it as my initial wherever I go. Many people addressed me as Nana, as what my family has been calling me since I was little (notice that common name in my family; nonoi, nana, titi, nini etc). Comes marriage many female would put their hubby’s initial as part of their identity i.e Sara Mia, Faizah Shaari (jangan marah). In the end, when our body laid to rest we will be “bin” or “Binti” to our mother i.e Huslina Binti Nasuha.. It becomes a trend nowdays that people love to name their children uniquely, in my family we would came across names like Kasih, Farell, Isaac and the new addition Sofie Isabella. A cousin even name her daughter Sofia Zara Ashzuin (beautiful but mouthful, belum include Binti lagi!).,but they call her Piah, which is not even one third of her own name! When I gave birth to my third child, my other half adored the name Mikael Hazeem so much and was already broadcast the name to everyone upon the baby’s arrival. (Note that t...

A decade of love

Image
Relationship requires lots of effort, one may say, but to me loves comes naturally. It is not a physical attachment but a unity of two soul (phuh!! macam Dr Love!) During the teenage years, I saw many hearts were broken badly (mine included, ha ha..).. then as I grew older, I realize that there is still a lot of heartache too.. What valued most in a relationship is not measured by diamond rings or flowers… but trust.. Marriages is supposed to be a sacred thing, It’s so sad to see how a marriages collapsed and the reason given simply due “irreconcilable differences”.. or the existence of a third person. I’m neither a romantic person nor a mushy mushy wifey.. I valued every hand holding initiated by my other half and even a line of text message expressing his feelings to me is enough to make my heart melt.. (and of course I value them because it is special and one will only do it to their none other than loved ones). Love is warm, when it’s new Love is sweet, when it’s true Never look fo...

Pregnancy blues

Image
This pregnancy is the toughest ever.. it is the lightest though (I only gain 10kg instead of the previous 18-20kg by 8 mth). This round I experienced the following:- -fatigue -morning sickness -backache -insomnia -lower abdominal pain -false alarm since 7 mth Haziq was making fun of me by saying "oh mine! ibu jalan macam pingu the penguin".

Kerja...kerja

Image
I came across an interesting blog thru’ Iffil’s.. (named Mrs Hatta) and there is one particular posting that kept me thinking.. its about a place where a wife should be…by the husband's and children's side. I think I did in the past post similar thing about me being a wife, mother, worker.. I really, really envy those fulltime housewife. To name a few, kudos to Fiza, Fida, my cousin Titi Faiz & Wiwin.. I broke promise made to my son that once he reaches primary school, I'd leave my job to provide full attention to his education.. Not only I break the promise, I find lesser & lesser time spent with the children (and as if there is a distance since they keep nagging, wanting to spent more time at my parent’s house instead of going back to the Ampang with us). Let me tell you my children (goes to all 3, Haziq, Nazurah & baby in tummy):- • Ibu have got to work because I wanted to ensure that I can afford to give you my children the things that your grandparents can...

Al-fatihah : Hajjah Hairiya Abdul Ghani

Image
My auntie, Hairiya, passed away on 31st January 2009, one day before her 56th birthday which is due on 1st February.. My mom is the second to be badly impacted by her departure apart from her spouse. It was simply because they have become closer upon discovering her sickness. Even after 3 weeks, my mother still feel her sister's presence and constantly visiting her graveyard.. Al-fatihah for belated alayarhamah.

A very much belated Maal Hijrah and Happy New Entry

New Year comes with new resolution but I have been carrying the same list every year. I would like to add a few things to my list this year… to take care extra of my health and to be firm sikit (boss suruh!!) 2008 left me with many ups and down.. I must say the downside comes with a silver lining…(but whatever it takes, life has been sooooooo blessed). The major surprise is the one in tummy, after few solat hajat and river of tears, my prayers answered. Haziq has been the apple of my eyes for 6 years then comes Nazurah to shine my life there was a cloudy moment passes by I pray for another child to bond us back My prayers is answered and insyaAllah we are on track The opening of the Islamic calendar this year is very much disturbed by the situation in Gaza. Hearing the daily update on the progress is already leaving me speechless.. let alone watching the photos posted in the newspaper… My prayers for my muslim brothers & sisters around the world.

Man & Woman

Image
Woman was made from the rib of man, She was not created from his head to top him, Nor from his feet to be stepped upon, She was made from his side to be close to him, From beneath his arm to be protected by him, Near his heart to be loved by him.

Aren't you happy?

Upon reading a friend's blog on a topic of happiness Vs materialistic, it inspires me to write this. One can just be happy without having to be materialistic.. but one just keep hungry for more. I knew someone who owns a dozen of branded shoes, wore a five figure value watch, drive a high end vehicle, have a pair of beautiful kids, live in a lovely home, has a superb family vacation and has wifey who is always proud of his achievement. Yet, this SOMEONE still needs another so called special/intimate-female-friend when he'd already knew he hasnt been spending enough time with the family. Blame it on guy for not being satisfied with God's swt blessing (and he may be blaming on the wifey for not being able to be woman whom he wished her to be!) but I blame on the the bitch who have no respect for other man's woman & yet claimed that their relationship is "special" and even have the guts insulting her while his man was no where to defend her. I was on my nerve...

I'm back!!!!

Image
Whereabout? What’s shakin? (mine's not!) Notice that I haven’t been blogging for a while.. ? Wanna know what am I up to? • PREGGIE yes I’m pregnant (wooohooo!!!) surprisingly it doesn’t take long or any special medication this time, alhamdulillah.(nazurah is only 1 year & 4 mth when we found out ). The nausea is really bad that I find going to office is challenging enough. Thank God swt for the blessing. • LOST and FOUND we finally LOST the Ampang house, hard to let go but I do not have a choice. Bye bye home sweet home..Be it a river of tears, there is no way I can afford to have it back. I lost myself in sadness, because I FOUND cik lita and cik coco..!!!!!!! and she makes me called off my so called grand-10th wedding-anniversary- celebration.. :((just had to say that almost lost my dignity, though!)My one year planning was abandoned in a split seconds, my 9 years of dream to compensate the "immaterialised" item during our wedding was vanished with the wind. Morale ...

It was me...

I have never thought that I have to go through the most difficult journey of my life I have never thought that my patience will be wearing thin, my river of tears will run dry, that I have to fake my smiles all day long, It took a while for me to pick up the pieces and move on The thing is, I have yet to move on God swt is great It takes ages to build up trust and took only suspicion, not proof, to destroy it I have never learn anything from my mistakes, let alone from others' advise I took things for granted and lightly The truth is hard to swallow But dishonest was more painful I just realize After all this years, all this pain I was told.. It is all about me For I shall not pass that way again, ever!

Salam Hijrah. Time flies!!Haziq is in standard one (and NO, he is not attending private school like what most people would expect me to do and he is also attending the sekolah agama in the afternoon. And no way hubby going to let him attending chinese school lile the cousins. Nazurah has four teeth now and attached like she is glued to me. I have lost couple of kilo's (oh! hubby gained some) And yes, I am still holding to my resolution on not purchasing my favourite Italiano's brand, Ferragamo or LV. I have been busy, was day warded twice. Me & my 3 bros has always been occupied we went to genting for the magic show, organising bbq, sungai trip and just got back spending weekend in concorde (3 days 2 nite; 5 rooms, meals included, on ME!). Oh, forgot to mentioned, me & hubby's handphone; N70, N95 & motorola 3G were submerged in the pool during the outing. How? the best word is "not our rezeki". 2007 was a great year, rain & shine at the same time. ...

Al Fatihah

It has been raining throughout the day I was on my way to a meeting when I received the news Raja Aiman, youngest son of Zarinah (kak ina) has passed away peacefully after a battling with cancer. I reminisce 2 years ago where he cried alongside Kak Ina when his father was place in the graveyard. A mothers love, truly unconditional love.
